What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a state of intense focus and relaxation during which you are able to respond positively toward suggestions.
How does hypnosis work?
Madison Hypnosis Center works under the theory that our consciousness shapes our reality. Our consciousness utilizes language to give us the information we need. This language influences our behavior and our perceptions. There are thousands of mental scripts constantly running through your head, some of which impact you positively, and some of which impact you negatively. In order to take control of your life, you need to take control of this language, and then you are then able to unlock a world of potential. Madison Hypnosis Center helps you to identify the mental scripts which are blocking your success, and unlock your potential.
What to expect?
We customize hypnosis sessions for each of our clients, so the process is slightly different for each person. While result are usually seen after the first session, most goals require at least 3 sessions to fully reinforce the changes you are seeking. Sometimes additional sessions are needed or requested for complicated changes. The first session involves going over your intake form and setting clear goals and expectations for the sessions to follow. The first session is usually about 1.5 hours and the subsequent sessions are closer to an hour, give or take.
How much do sessions cost?
Single sessions can be requested for $149 each. I offer a package of up to three sessions for $349 or up to five sessions for $495 as most clients require three sessions to accomplish their goals (weight loss is usually 5 sessions). Payment in cash, check, or credit is required prior to beginning the first session.
What is your cancellation policy?
I have a 24 hour cancellation policy, meaning that if you need to cancel an appointment, you must provide 24 hours notice or you forfeit your payment for that session.
What is your refund policy?
All sales are final and include up to the number of sessions purchased. If you wish to use purchased sessions at a later time, they will be available to you for up to one year.
What if the hypnotist has a heart attack in the middle of a session?
There are no risks to you in the extremely unlikely event that the hypnotist becomes incapacitated during a session. If the hypnotist stopped in the middle of a session, you would likely simply fall into a natural sleep for a while until you woke up. In the case of an emergency, you would likely realize something was wrong and simply open your eyes. The suggestions utilized in a session themselves do not pose risks as you would only accept those for which you agreed with to begin.
Is hypnosis safe?
Hypnosis is considered to be very safe. In clinical studies, some subjects reported headaches or drowsiness, but these effects are rare, and most clients find the experience to be pleasant both during and after the sessions.
What does hypnosis feel like?
I usually describe hypnosis as feeling like that state of consciousness when you are laying bed, and have closed your eyes, but are not yet asleep. You could open your eyes at any point, but you just usually do not want to.
Will I quack like a duck?
Only if you want to! This common stage hypnosis demonstration really has no role in a hypnotherapy session and this suggestion would never be given. If it were, it would be up to you whether you quacked or not. A hypnotist does not have control over you as a client, and you are aware of what is happening around you. You will not act on a suggestion that you do not agree with which is why we work with you to customize each program to meet your needs and desires
What if I can’t be hypnotized?
Nearly all people can be hypnotized if they want to be, and nearly all people can resist hypnosis if they want to, though the depths at which they can be hypnotized vary. Even light hypnosis can bring about profound change and there is usually no reason to go much deeper.
Will I lose control?
You remain in control of yourself for the entire session and can wake yourself up at any point that you choose to.
